Panavision Grant
"Look Not at the Mountains" has received the Panavision New Filmmaker Award, making it our second project that will be produced through their generous grant. The first films of Paul Thomas Anderson, Steven Soderbergh, and Jared Hess were also supported through this program. It's a great option for young filmmakers who refuse to compromise and go digital.
Soderbergh
After two great projects ("Che" and "The Girlfriend Experience"), Soderbergh is following with "The Informant". The trailer looks weak, but the script is superb.
It's gonna be tough, though. Matt Damon is no Sasha Grey, and definitely no Benicio.
Releasing the Print and Finalizing the Deal
"No one knows what a producer is. Because a producer means many things: He can be a dealmaker, an agent, the husband or wife of someone. But a real producer, like David Selznick, Darryl Zanuck, Sam Spiegel, a director needs him."
-Robert Evans
